Family Photo Shoot Day

I've been making lots of stuff that's all been "on hold" for warmer weather to take pictures.  But the weather isn't getting any warmer, so we braved the cold to take pictures today! Two out of three did o.k., one was NOT happy.  The clothes all turned out great, the ruffle dresses are really fun; the girls might wear them for Easter.

Joey in his customized shirt. "Joey do you want a guitar on your shirt?" "No, I want my name." "Joey how do you like your name shirt?" "Can we put a guitar on there too?"  Sure...

This is a cute tiered skirt we made a while back and just finally got the applique top done to go with it.  I tried using metallic thread for the applique.  It kept breaking over and over, so it probably isn't meant for this type of work, but once it was done it sure looked cute!

These are the girls matching dresses, pattern from Little Lizard King.  They're really fun.

It got a little rough as M. really wanted to head inside! We finally gave up on bribery and just took her jacket off and snapped some shots.  Oh well.

This headband turned our really well! We'll definitely be making more of these!

K. designed and sewed her own purse! It turned out so cute and she was so proud of herself!!

Bow Holders

I make so many different things, that it's hard to categorize (or sometimes even keep track).  This is something I've started making lately and I have yet to add it to my website.  These bow holders are great gifts for girls with lots of hair bows, etc. and can be make in any colors to match decor.  The letters without the ribbons could be make for boys rooms too.  They can be done as initials or as a specific shape.  The price for these is $17.

SWOPS

I'm working on something that I'm so excited about - a new summer flip flop that we've named SWOPS, as the look can be swapped out! These are actually designed for ladies or older girls - no bows or over-the-top frills here, just unique, classy looks!!  And you can purchase new designs and completely change the look without buying more shoes (great for travel, space saving, and husbands who think you have too many shoes).  I'm using wedge flip flops for these designs as many women seem to prefer a wedge for both comfort and style. Stay tuned for a sneak preview, and, if I'm really ambitious, a video demonstration (I need to tell my tester Michelle she's going to be a foot model!).

WELCOME!!!

Welcome to my new blog! I think this will be a good way to connect not only with customers and friends who enjoy my projects and work, but also with fellow crafters and sewers.  Please feel free to contact me for orders, suggestions or other feedback!
Thanks!

New Dora Dress

I made this quick Dora dress for my daughter who only wears "fancy dresses" and refuses almost everything I make (and even buy) for her.
